เรื่องนี้ฮอตดี มีความเป็น slice of life กลายๆ แค่กดมาอ่านฆ่าเวลารอดูบอลเมื่อคืน แต่บอลจบแล้วก็อ่านต่อจนจบเล่มเหมือนกัน อ่านเพลินๆ ให้ไป 3.5 ดาว

ว่าด้วยเรื่องหมาและปกหนังสือ (M/M Romance)

ถึงช่วงนี้จะขี้เกียจๆ แต่อ่านชุด At First Sight ของ T.J. Klune แล้วอยากคอมเม้นต์ เคยมีฝ่ายมาร์เก็ตติ้ง สนพ. โรมานซ์ยักษ์ใหญ่ในอเมริกาสั่งให้นักออกแบบเปลี่ยนปกนิยายใหม่ เพราะอยากให้มีรูปหมา ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มยอดขาย ทั้งที่ในนิยายไม่มีหมาสักตัว สุดท้ายนักเขียนต้องไปแก้ให้มีหมาในเรื่อง

หัวอกทาสหมาอย่างเราบอกได้เลยว่ามีส่วนจริง 😂เพราะก่อนหน้านี้เราก็ไม่ดอง Finders Keepers ของ N.R. Walker เพราะอิหมาบนปกนี่แหละมันน่ารักมากกกก ในเรื่องก็น่ารัก อิหมาวีลส์ในเรื่อง Tell Me It's Real บนปกดูธรรมด๊าธรรมดาสุดๆ แต่ในเรื่องมันโคตรเกรียน มีแค่ขาหน้า 2 ขา หางไม่มีแต่ชอบกระดิกตูดดุ๊กดิ๊กไปมา 🤣

เกือบพูดถึงแต่หมาแล้ว 😂 ตัวละครคนในชุด At First Sight ก็ยูนีคมาก ชอบทุกคนเลย จะมีนักเขียนกี่คนที่กล้าประกาศในเรื่องโต้งๆว่าพระเอกไม่มีความฉลาดเลยสักนิด (วินซ์ พระเอกเล่มแรก) หรือช้างน้อยดูไม่ใหญ่เมื่อเทียบกับขนาดตัว (แดร์เรน พระเอกเล่ม 2) หรือเขียนนายเอกแบบไม่กลัวคนอ่านจะว่าสาวแตกมากจนเกินไป

ชอบเล่มแรกที่สุดในชุด คู่พอลกับวินซ์โคตรน่ารักเลย ชอบงานประมูลนักกีฬาโฮโมกล้ามล่ำเคราเขียวแต่งเป็นแดรกควีนในเล่มสอง ทำไมเรื่องไหนมีการแต๊บเราจะชอบเป็นพิเศษวะ 55555

ไม่ได้อ่านนิยาย YA มานานแล้ว และเรื่องนี้ไม่ทำให้ผิดหวังสนุกแบบผิดคาดมาก เพราะวันก่อนเห็นข่าวว่า Greg Berlanti ผู้กำกับหนัง Love, Simon ซื้อเรื่องนี้ไปสร้างเป็นซีรี่ส์เลยอยากลองอ่านดู  (ลิงก์ข่าวhttps://bit.ly/2leUHxN) ถึงแม้ตอนแรกจะตะหงิดกับชื่อเรื่องก็เถอะ นึกว่าจะเป็นแนว drama นิดๆผสม coming of age เกี่ยวกับเด็กวัยรุ่นเกย์ชนชั้นสูงในศตวรรษที่ 17 รู้สึกว่าไม่มีอะไรน่าสนใจเลย

แต่ปรากฏว่าไม่ใช่!!!!

อ่านจบแล้วอยากจะตั้งชื่อเรื่องให้ใหม่ว่า Henry Montague and the Philosopher's Stone ปกหน้ากับปกหลังไม่ค่อยบอกใบ้เลยว่าจะเป็นแนวผจญภัยแย่งชิงศิลาอาถรรพ์ของนักเล่นแร่แปรธาตุ ตัวเอกชื่อเล่นว่ามอนตี้ เป็นไวส์เคานต์เสเพลอายุ 18 นิสัยเสีย ขี้เมา แอบหลงรักเพื่อนสนิทลูกครึ่งผิวสีในยุคสมัยที่ยังมีการค้าทาสนิโกร ไม่มีความเป็นพระเอกอยู่ในตัวเล้ย มีดีแค่หน้าตาอย่างเดียว--อันนี้มอนตี้กล่าวเอง 

ครอบครัวอยากให้มอนตี้กลับเนื้อกลับตัวซะทีเลยยื่นเงื่อนไขให้มอนตี้ไปท่องยุโรปกับเพื่อนสนิท 1 ปีก่อนกลับบ้านมาดูแลที่ดินและเตรียมตัวสืบทอดบรรดาศักดิ์เอิร์ล และให้แวะไปส่งน้องสาวเข้าโรงเรียนประจำในฝรั่งเศสด้วย 20% แรกของเรื่องเป็นการปูพื้นและแนะนำให้รู้จักตัวละครในคณะเดินทางทั้ง 3 คน บอกตามตรงว่ายังคงไม่มีอะไรน่าสนใจจนถึงจุดนี้

มันเริ่มสนุกหลังจากนั้นแหละ แต่เราไม่อยากสปอยล์มาก วางพล็อตดีเลย ตัวละครน่ารัก ขำๆ มีเลเยอร์ มีที่มาที่ไปว่าทำไมมอนตี้ถึงทำตัวเหลวไหล เราชอบเฟลิซิตี้น้องสาวของมอนตี้มากกก เป็นสาวน้อยปากดีที่เก่งและแกร่ง เพอร์ซี่เพื่อนของมอนตี้เป็นพระเอกนิสัยดี๊ดีที่น่าสงสาร ส่วนอิมอนตี้มันน่าโดนเตะตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบเรื่องเลย 55555

สนุกมาก ให้ 4.75 ดาว

อ่าน M/M Historical Romance ของ Cat Sebastian ที่คนชอบกันเยอะๆมาหลายเล่ม ยังไม่ถูกใจจังๆเลยสักเล่ม พอเอาเล่มนี้มาอ่านอย่างไม่คาดหวัง คะแนนใน GR ก็ไม่สูงอะไร กลับชอบซะงั้น แต่ส่วนตัวชอบพล็อตแนวๆ rent boy อยู่แล้วด้วยแหละ

พล็อตไม่หลวม ดูน่าจะดราม่า แต่ก็ไม่หนักมาก มีฉากขำๆยิ้มๆ มีฉากลุ้นเสี่ยงตาย ปกญี่ปุ่นเจ็มดูสาวไป๊ ไม่สะดิ้งขนาดนั้น ถึงหน้าสวยแต่ก็ออกแมนๆนะ มีสลับ
